Congratulations on deciding to marry!
Formalising your relationship is one of the most significant life events that people can experience and we are thrilled you are choosing to share your joy and happiness not only with your family, friends and invited guests but also with us.
We love a good celebration of romance and partnership and take pride in really getting to know you as a couple as well as the significant people you will be sharing your day with. The initial stages of planning your ceremony will involve us meeting you (either in person or online) and finding out what is meaningful to you, how you envisage your ceremony looking and feeling and if there are significant moments, traditions or rituals you would like to include. We will make a lot of notes which we will then use to draft a first edition of your ceremony script.
The script we use for your ceremony needs to be personal to you and a true reflection of your relationship. We will keep amending every detail until you are completely happy with the final copy. We can do this face to face, online, or simply via email, whatever fits with your schedule best. Only once you are truly happy with the content will we then finalise the details for the day.
On the day itself, we will arrive well in advance of the start time of your ceremony. We will liaise with the venue staff/ceremony coordinator/family member who is in charge of the logistics on the day. We will ensure you both know that we have arrived and if either of you would like to briefly meet before the ceremony starts, either together or separately, we can ensure that happens. We will also ensure we have had a chance to speak to any key participants of the ceremony. This can be whoever is accompanying the party or parties down the aisle, significant family members, whoever has the rings (experience tells me this is a crucial one!) and anyone doing readings, music or facilitating any aspect of the ceremony. This helps everyone feel at ease and confident that they understand their role on the day.
Following the ceremony we can arrange for a hard copy of your ceremony script to be posted to you. Lots of couples like a copy as a keepsake of the day they tied the knot.
