Funerals

A funeral is an opportunity not only to say goodbye to a loved one, but to celebrate their life. Every person is unique and so every funeral is as individual as the person you have lost. We will take time to find out from you about your loved one, about their life, about their passions and interests and to listen to family memories and stories. We will then use all of these aspects of our conversations to create a bespoke ceremony that commemorates their life.

We will guide you through the ceremony on the day, assisting you in the order of proceedings and being your voice to everyone attending. You can choose to include other people in the ceremony as much or as little as you wish and we can assist in choosing appropriate readings and writing eulogies. Anecdotes, memories and funny stories are all part of the rich tapestry of someone's life and we can include these tributes in order to bring comfort to those attending as well as acknowledging and celebrating a life well lived.

Music can play a huge part in commemorating a loved one. Everyone has a piece of music that means a lot to them or narrates a chapter in their lives. You can choose to add hymns, songs or instrumental pieces to further personalise the ceremony.

If you wish to have a copy of the ceremony, readings or any other aspect spoken on the day, these can be provided to you following the ceremony.
